Happy Election Day-⬇️Anxiety Tips

Happy Election Day! Movement is a great way to reduce your stress levels. Baby Girl and I were up early fitting in fitness 😅

There’s so much anxiety about the election. Let’s be proactive to keep the stress from interfering with our health & weight loss journey. Here are some tips & resources to help you reduce your stress as you navigate the next few days:

✔️Limit news intake—watching repetitive coverage can worsen anxiety

✔️Limit triggering people in all forms

✔️Build movement into your day. Take at least a one minute walk every hour. Plan on getting a cardio workout in today and tomorrow—yes, a nature walk counts

✔️Spend time with people you love

✔️Take time to journal and release your concerns

✔️Control what you can. Make sure you vote! It matters

✔️Dare to hope for the best (Faith Based). If you are a person of Faith, this is a good time to use it. Connect with God through venting, prayer, music, meditation, etc. 🙏

✔️Dare to hope for the best (Non-Faith Based) Even if you’re not religious/spiritual, hope and positive thinking has been shown to decrease stress and anxiety levels. No human knows the outcome of tomorrow’s election, so why worry about the worst? Instead choose to hope for the best.

We’re all in this together 💜

I’ve shared a nice piece from NPR & on election anxiety below.
